Questions for Discussion & Application 1.  What questions do you have from today’s passage? 2.  What message did Jesus proclaim? Why did He accompany this message with healing? 3.  What message are we called to proclaim? (See Matthew 28:18-20) 4.  What was the motivation of Jesus’ heart in His proclaiming the gospel? 5.  What is compassion? Where else do we see Jesus’ compassion? 6.  Why is it important that our hearts be motivated for evangelism by the same compassion that we see in Jesus? 7.  Why are we commanded to pray for laborers to go out into God’s harvest? Do you obey this command? 8.  How are you being a laborer in God’s harvest and participating in the mission Jesus’ has given us?

How would love set Christians apart from the world around us (John 13:34-35)? 5) What would gracious hospitality look like in 2024 (9)? 6) How should we view our gifts and abilities (10-11)? Since we are stewards of God’s grace, what should we do with the various gifts that we have? How would this build up our church and promote the Gospel in our area? 7  Why do you think suffering and serving are both an essential component of a growing relationship with God? 8) How are you using your gifts and strengths to serve God and others?
